9.8.3 Spousal IRA
We've already touched upon this somewhat. Those persons who are eligible to set up IRAs for themselves can also create an IRA for their nonworking spouse, subject to certain amounts and threshold limitations.* Spousal IRA contributions must be reported on the couple's joint tax return.
