11.3.5 Claims
The claims process in health insurance differs from the claims process you learned about in life insurance.
In life insurance (as well as disability and AD&D insurance), the claim amount is a stated contract amount (valued). Health insurance, or medical expense insurance, on the other hand is a contract of reimbursement. We don't know and can only estimate from past experience what the cash outlay might be.
