12.7.2 Florida Healthy Kids Corporation
The Florida state legislature established the Florida Healthy Kids Corporation as a combined public and private venture in 1990 in an effort to help improve access to comprehensive health insurance for Florida's uninsured children. Coverage can insure services ranging from preventive care to major surgery. Participation in the program is strictly voluntary.
