19.7 Group Life Insurance
Group life insurance is the same as with health or medical expense coverage in the basic respects. There is a master contract, which is generally a one-year term plan renewable without requiring medical examinations.
Group life insurance can be afforded to the following groups under Florida law.
- Employer-employee groups
- Labor union groups
- Trustee groups
- Debtor groups
- Association groups
- Credit union members
- Dependent groups
Participants in group life insurance are issued a Certificate of Coverage.
