20.2.2 Change of Address
Licensees are required to notify the Department in writing within 60 days after a change of name, residence address, principal business street address, or mailing address, contact telephone numbers (including a business telephone number), or email address. Failure to notify the Department within 60 days will result in a fine not to exceed $250 for the first offense and, for subsequent offenses, a fine of not less than $500 and possible suspension or revocation of the license. If an agent moves out of the State of Florida, the Department will immediately terminate that agent's license.
Email Addresses
It is extremely important that licensees maintain a current email address in the Department's records. The Department utilizes email to keep licensees abreast of important information such as legislative changes, rule changes, and other communications. Licensees can update the Department's records by going to the Bureau of Licensing's website at www.MyFloridaCFO.com/Agents, click on MyProfile, and complete the change of address.
When you apply for your licensure (register for the state exam), make sure you have a valid email address. Most communication to you from the Department will be by email.
Through the Department's website, you can log into the MyProfile page. In MyProfile, you can:
- Check your CE status
- Locate CE and prelicensing courses
- Update your email, home, business and mailing addresses
- Get important messages about your license
- View your licenses and appointments
- Apply for a license
