When you pass the course final exam (passing score is 70% or better), you will be notified immediately and will be given the opportunity to download your Certificate of Completion. A hard copy will be sent in the mail to your registration address as well. You do not have to send your certificate to the state - the Certificate of Completion is for your records. Your Certificate of Completion and eligibility to take the state examination will be reported electronically using the state-required electronic reporting system. Your Certificate of Completion is valid for four (4) years.
Electronic reporting is completed several times per week. Your certificate will typically be reported to the state within the week you pass the course final exam. However, if you pass the course on Friday, your certificate may not be reported until the following week.
However, this will not extend the application period as the state does not process electronic reporting records on a daily basis and the entire process takes approximately two to four weeks.
