3.13 Policy Riders
A rider is used in an insurance policy in the same way as an endorsement - to make alterations to the original policy. Riders attach to the policy to provide specialized or additional needs not found in the original contract.
Eliminating coverage that is not needed is an effective way to reduce costs; "don't pay for what you don't need."
