Florida Study Manual

Unit 4 of the Florida study manual, Licensure, Ethics and the Insurance Producer, is not addressed verbatim in the online course material. That is because the material contained within Unit 4 of the manual is covered throughout the course material in differing lessons according to topic, and most specifically in Lesson 19, Florida Laws and Rules Pertinent to Life and Health Insurance. For instance, ethical standards are addressed when discussing Marketing and Sales Practices and Prohibited Practices in Lesson 1, Fiduciary Responsibilities in Lesson 2, Agent Responsibilities in Lesson 19, etc. However, you should be sure to study Unit 4 in the manual and complete the Questions for Review.

This course, working along with the manual, is structured for 40 hours of study time. It is estimated that it should take the average person 40 hours to complete the course working hand-in-hand with the Florida study manual.

Since the 40 hours includes your Florida manual study time, it is not required that you spend the full 40 hours online; nor will you be "kicked out" of the course if you exceed 40 hours. You may take as long as needed from the date of your original registration to complete the course and pass the online final examination. You have the freedom to set your own schedule and work at your own pace.
