3.11 Nonforfeiture Options

Privileges allowed under the terms of a life insurance contract after cash values have been created are referred to as nonforfeiture options. Should the policyowner get into a situation in which he cannot continue to make the required premium payments, nonforfeiture options can be utilized. By using any one of these options, it is possible for the insured to continue to gain value from the policy.
