11.3 Characteristics
Health insurance is not designed to be permanent. Several characteristics are the same as with life insurance. There are renewability provisions, premium factors, participating and nonparticipating policies, reserves, and claims.
Though they may sound the same, there are differences, so let's discuss some of those differences now.
